Meanwhile, the AIADMK coordinator O.Panneerselvam and co-coordinator Edappadi K.Palaniswami condemned the searches conducted on the premises of Mr.Anbalagan, his relatives, friends and political associates by the DVAC.
In a statement, they AIADMK leaders said the actions carried out in the name of ‘anti-corruption’ were all acts of political vendetta against the former Ministers belonged to the party. The authorities had returned ‘empty handed’ eventually, they claimed.
The action against Mr.Anbalagan was made only because the former Minister went to the Dharmapuri District Collectorate a few days ago to express solidarity with Pappireddipatti MLA A.Govindasamy, who staged a dharna to protest the Collector’s refusal to meet him.
