'I have not done any party activities', says expelled BJD leader Damodar Rout

Bhubaneswar, Sep 12 (UNI) Senior BJD leader and former minister Dr.Damodar Rout
who was expelled by party supremo and President Naveen Patnaik today clarified that
he has not done any anti party activities.
When the newsmen asked Dr Rout about his expulsion from the party, the senior
leader said he came to know the action from the television news and yet to be
informed by the party.
The former Minister, and a close confident of late Biju Patnaik ,said the person who
has expelled him has not cited any reason on which ground he has been expelled from
the party.
Dr.Rout said if exposing corruption and scams in the government will be treated as
anti party activities and offence, then the people of Odisha will judge it.
The senior leader said in December last he was removed from the council of ministers,
party vice president post and party observer without assigning any reason.
Since then, he has neither been invited in the party meetings nor the party involved him
in any party activities.
He reiterated his statement that a senior IAS officer and three party MLAs are now
running the party affairs, looting money and deciding everything.
It may be recalled here that earlier, another senior leader and Parliament member
Baijant Panda was suspended from the party for indulging in anti party activities after
he questioned the functioning in the party and the role of a senior IAS officer in
dictating the party.
However, before the party took any further action on Mr. Panda, he quit from the
party and also form the Kendrapara Lok Sabha seat.
