Hyd: Balapur Ganesh laddu fetches record Rs 39 lakh at auction

Hyderabad, Sep 25 (UNI) The famous Balapur Ganesh laddu fetched a record Rs 39 lakh at the annual auction held here on Friday, surpassing last year's bid by Rs 4 lakh.
The auction, organised by the Balapur Ganesh Utsav Samithi, began with a base price of Rs 1,116. Bids quickly crossed last year's Rs 35 lakh mark before Sama Praneeth Reddy of Urban Group Private Limited, Vanasthalipuram, emerged as the successful bidder.
The auction of the Balapur Ganesh laddu is a major attraction during the annual Ganesh festivities in Hyderabad.
