Cong MLAs protest against ECI chief in J&K Assembly, Speaker warns of action

Srinagar, Sep 25 (UNI) Congress legislators on Friday staged a protest inside the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, with CPI(M) MLA M.Y. Tarigami extending support to the protesting members. The Congress MLAs entered the well of the House carrying banners raising their demand, prompting Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather to object to the display of the placards.
