Haryana Govt orders crackdown on bulk waste generators; violators face power, water disconnection

Panchkula, Sep 25 (UNI) The Haryana Government has directed officials to identify bulk waste-generating establishments within 15 days and initiate action against those flouting solid waste management norms, including temporary disconnection of their electricity and water connections. An official spokesman said marriage homes, hospitals, dhabas, cardboard factories and other industrial and commercial establishments meeting the prescribed criteria, including those spread over 20,000 square metres or consuming 40,000 litres of water per day, would be identified, served notices and required to register on the designated portal.
