AP: Action plan being implemented to eradicate ganja menace: Home Minister

Vijayawada, Sep 18 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Home Minister V Anitha has said that a lot of progress has been achieved in eradicating ganja cultivation during the last 21 months, and a one-year action plan is being implemented to complete eradication of ganja (cannabis) in the state. At a review meeting here on Friday, the Home Minister said that the farmers who used to cultivate ganja in the combined Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam and East Godavari districts, were pursued to take up horticulture crops including Avocado and Rambutan in lieu of ganja cultivation.
