Kolkata, Sep 18 (UNI) The iconic Howrah Bridge has undergone an illumination makeover worth Rs 22.35 crore under a public-private partnership by the Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port. The new lighting system at one of the most symbolic architectures here, has been done to promote tourism by adding a new dimension to Kolkata's night skyline. The dynamic architectural illumination of the iconic bridge features 3,825 luminaires with a total installed capacity of 385 KW, bringing its structural profile, skeletal surfaces, crowns and main pylons to life through lighting and synchronised sound.
