Telangana: Six students drown during Ganesh immersion in Sangareddy

Hyderabad, Sept 17 (UNI) Six students drowned while participating in a Ganesh idol immersion procession at Peddakanjarla village under Patancheru police station limits in Sangareddy district on Wednesday evening. According to police, the students, reportedly associated with a charitable trust/orphanage, accidentally entered a deep portion of Neredu Cheruvu while attempting to immerse the idol and drowned. Locals and police launched a search operation and retrieved the bodies, which were shifted to a hospital where doctors declared them dead.
