IIT Kanpur to develop India's first Sun Simulator for Concentrated Photovoltaic systems

Kanpur, Sep30 (UNI) IIT Kanpur has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bengaluru-based NexPV Energy Systems to design and develop India's first Sun Simulator for Concentrated Photovoltaic (CPV) systems. The project is being facilitated by Invariance Automation, a member company of IIT Kanpur's Research and Technology Park Foundation (Technopark@IITK). The new facility will enable CPV modules to be tested and characterised at the end of production lines in India, filling a critical gap in the country's solar manufacturing ecosystem.
