Telangana: NPRD demands census data on all 21 categories of disabilities

Hyderabad, Sep 30 (UNI) The Telangana State Committee of the National Platform for the Rights of Disabled (NPRD) staged a protest in front of the State Census Director's office at Koti, demanding that the 2027 Census collect data on all 21 categories of disabilities recognised under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. NPRD State General Secretary M Adivaiah said comprehensive disability data was essential for ensuring access to education, employment, healthcare, rehabilitation and social security.
