Major Vijay Singh Mankotia, five-time Shahpur MLA and former minister, passes away at 87

Ashok Raina Dharamshala, Sep 29 (UNI) Veteran Himachal Pradesh politician and former minister Major Vijay Singh Mankotia died at his residence in Tiara village of Kangra district on Tuesday morning. He was 87. His last rites will be performed at his ancestral village of Tiara on Wednesday. Mankotia, a former Indian Army officer, was among the prominent political figures of Himachal Pradesh and represented the Shahpur Assembly constituency five times.
