Ahilyanagar: Gang promising to double money through 'cash rain' busted

Ahilyanagar, Sep 29 (UNI) The Local Crime Branch (LCB) of Ahilyanagar police has busted a gang allegedly involved in circulating counterfeit Indian currency by promising people to double their money through a so-called 'cash rain' scheme. Three accused from Baramati in Pune district have been arrested, and counterfeit currency with a face value of approximately Rs92 lakh has been seized. The action was taken within the jurisdiction of the MIDC Police Station in Ahilyanagar following confidential information received by the Local Crime Branch while gathering intelligence about illegal activities in the area.
