GDS transfer rules updated; transgender candidates included in priority list

Panchkula, Sep 20 (UNI) The Department of Posts has updated the transfer priority guidelines for Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS), formally recognising transgender personnel as a distinct preference category in the online transfer process, as stated in an official memorandum issued on September 15. The revised rules amend the Limited Transfer Facility (LTF) framework notified on October 10, 2024. The new priority order applies when multiple GDS applicants request transfer to the same vacancy, providing a transparent and structured decision process.
