Delhi govt sanctions Rs 1,850 cr BTA instalment for civic bodies

New Delhi, Sep 23 (UNI) The Delhi government has sanctioned Rs 1,850.66 crore as the second instalment of Basic Tax Assignment (BTA) funds for 2026-27 to the three civic bodies, with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) receiving the bulk of the allocation, officials said on Wednesday. The Urban Development Department said it approved concurrence for the release on September 21. Of the total amount, Rs 1,820.40 crore will go to the MCD, while the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) will receive Rs 17.95 crore and the Delhi Cantonment Board (DCB) Rs 12.31 crore.
