Suvendu announces 1,400 fire service recruitments; Cabinet clears one lakh govt jobs

Kolkata, Sep 23 (UNI) West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Wednesday announced the recruitment of 1,400 personnel in the state fire and emergency services department immediately. Adhikari made the announcement at a fire service function at Red Road where he handed over 226 new fire tenders of different capacities to the department. "The 1,400 vacancies will be filled through the Police Recruitment Board and include 1,000 fire operators, 325 fire engine operators-cum-drivers and 75 sub-officers," Adhiakri said during the function.
