Deep depression over bay to bring heavy rain, gusty winds to South Bengal from Tuesday

Kolkata, Sept 20 (UNI) A deep depression over the Bay of Bengal, formed under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over the north Andaman Sea and adjoining areas, is likely to bring a spell of heavy rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds to several parts of South Bengal between September 22 and 26. The weather began changing sharply across the region on Sunday, with widespread rain and thunderstorms reported from several areas, including Kolkata, Howrah and Hooghly.
