Bengaluru, May 19 (UNI) Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, B Sriramulu (BJP) and C S Puttaraju (JD-S) have tendered their resignation to Lok Sabha membership following their election to the 15th Karnataka Legislative Assembly in the polls on May 12.
While Mr Yeddyurappa was elected from Shikaripura Assembly constituency in Shivamogga District, Mr Sriramulu was elected from Molakalmur in Bagalkote District (both BJP), Mr Puttaraju (JD-S) was elected from Mandya Constituency.
Mr Yeddyurappa, who has already taken Oath of Office and Secrecy on May 17 as Chief Minister was the first person to take Oath as Member of Legislative Assembly today. Later Mr Sriramulu and Mr Puttaraju took oath as MLAs. Protem Speaker K G Bopaiah administered them the Oath.
They had to resign their lok sabha seats before taking oath in the State Assembly
