US supports UN efforts to re-open Odessa port for food exports

Washington, June 22 (UNI/Sputnik) The United States supports the United Nations efforts to re-open the ports within the city of Odessa for export of food and other products, US Assistant Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs, Ramin Toloui said on Wednesday.
“The United Nations... is working very hard to find an accommodation that will allow one of these ports to re-open, or several ports within Odessa. We in the US government are fully supportive of that,” Toloui said during a telephonic press briefing.
Toloui said the United States wants to see grain and other products coming out of those ports be able to get to markets worldwide, particularly in the Middle East in Africa.
