UN Security Council rejects US bid to extend Iran arms embargo

United Nations, Aug 15 (UNI) The United Nations Security Council on Saturday resoundingly rejected a bid by the United States to extend a global arms embargo on Iran.

Eleven of the 15 members of the body, including France, Germany and the United Kingdom, abstained.
