Trade and Industry should take advantage of ATA Carnet: FICCI Workshop

Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 27 (UNI) Business community should come forward to utilise the vast possibilities of ATA carnet, according to an awarness workshop organised by Federation of Indian Chambers of commerce(FICCI) in co-operation with Ministry of Commerce, Government of India with the support of affiliated Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Associations.
Commissioner of Customs (Preventive) Sumit Kumar, who inaugurated the workshop, said ATA Cornett has been instrumental in greatly simplifying customs procedures related to temporary imports and exports.
"If you have an ATA Carnet Certificate, you can import and export vehicles, equipment and exhibition materials to any countries for a fixed period of time without any custom duty."

Telangana Revenue Minister slams BRS, labels KCR as "modern Tughlaq"

Hyderabad, Dec 8 (UNI) Telangana Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, reacting sharply to the BRS "charge sheet" against the government, accused the party of acting undemocratically and likened former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) to a "modern-day Tughlaq."
Speaking at a press conference held at the Secretariat on Sunday, Srinivas Reddy launched a scathing attack on the BRS leadership.
