Tourists will be allowed to visit Bhavani Island from Nov 10 : Minister

Vijayawada, Nov 4 (UNI) Stating that new tourism policy will be announced soon, Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister M Srinivas Rao said that tourists will be allowed to visit Bhavani island located in the river Krishna here from November 10.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, the minister said that in order to develop tourism in the state, a new tourism policy will be announced soon. He said that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy himself is the brand ambassador of AP tourism.
The minister said that permission was given to operate 60 boats on various rivers, except at Papikondalu in the river Godavari. He said that commend control rooms would be set up in 9 areas with the coordination of police, irrigation and tourism department officials to monitor the operation of boats.

Two JNTUK students selected for prestigious Amazon education programme

Kakinada, May 1 (UNI) Two girl students of CSE first year of JNTUK College of Engineering – G Padmapriya and M. Kavitha - have been selected for the prestigious Amazon Future engineering programme in the National level competition.
