Show caused notice issued against extension officer, gram sevak for not fixing LED

Nanded, Nov 8 (UNI) For not implementing a scheme of fixing LED bulbs on the power poles provided under the 14th Finance Commission, in all 76 Gram Panchayats (GMs), show cause notice by the Zilla Parisahd (ZP) were served and action was taken against the two concerned officers, including an extension officer and a gram sevak.
It was found that 76 out of 1309 GMs did not follow the regulations issued by the Central Government. Various schemes meant for rural development are implemented by ZP but some of the GPs are reluctant to avail of the benefits to help the rural people. Under one of the schemes, LED bulbs were provided to all GPs to install on all power poles to save electricity but 76 of them did not follow the instruction. Hence, the ZP has issued a Show Cause Notice to the defaulters for which reply is to be given earliest else they will have to be face inquiry at the divisional level.
Action is being taken against extension officer of Mahur Panchayat Samiti SM Teltumbade and Gram Sevak of Pawdewadi SF Kanode for their various irregularities notice in their duties.
