New Delhi, Aug 13 (UNI) Rain lashed national capital on Tuesday while maximum temperature settled at 35.5 degrees C, two notches above season's average here.
The average rain recorded in the city during the day till 1730 hours was 10.1 mm.
According to the Met office, the amount of rainfall received during the day between 0830 and 1730 hours was maximum 24.8 mm at Palam ,16mm at Lodhi road and 13.8mm at Ridge area.
The sky was generally cloudy through the day with rain in the afternoon which was also present in the evening.
The temperature is likely to drop towards the night while there is a possibility of rain as well.
Air quality on the city was satisfactory with an index value of 68 at around 1700 hours , as per the CPCB.
Relative humidity was between 92 to 62 per cent during the day , maximum and minimum respectively, said the weatherman.
For Wednesday, the weatherman has forecast moderate to light rainfall with thundershowers, while maximum temperature is likely to hover around 31 degrees C, and minimum 26 degrees C.
On Tuesday, the minimum temperature settled at 27.4 degrees C.
