Property worth Rs 20 lakh gutted in fire

Puducherry, Sept 15 (UNI) Property worth Rs 20 lakh was gutted in a fire which broke out at Nathamedu village near here around midnight on Tuesday night.
According to police, several huts were gutted in the fire and the property such as coats, almirahas, tables and Television sets were also burnt.
Fire tenders from Madukkarai and thirubhuvanai fought the fire for two hours and put out the flames.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
Nettapakkam police registered a case and started investigation.
