PMK leader condemns AICTE proposal of Common Entrance Exam for engineering colleges

Chennai, July 29 (UNI) Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) founder president Dr S Ramadoss condemned the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) proposal of bringing the system of common entrance examination across the country for all engineering courses.
In a press statement here on Sunday, he said if the Union government brings common entrance examination on the line of NEET exam for medical education, the rural students would be left behind.
AICTE Chairman Anil Dattatraya Sahasrabudhe has reportedly told mediapersons at Trichy on Saturday that this system will help student to avoid writing various entrance examinations to join specific engineering colleges and seek state governments support for this cause.
