Jaunpur, Apr 1 (UNI) The perfume industry of Jaunpur which has been witnessing slow growth in the recent years will rise again, said Uttar Pradesh minister of Women Welfare, Child Welfare and Tourism Rita Bahuguna Joshi here adding that perfume industry was among two selected under one district one product scheme of state government.
Ms Bahuguna said on Saturday that besides perfume industry, carpet industry will also get government’s help to be established once again. She said that with the development of both industries unemployed youth will get employment in their own region which will halt migration of talent also.
Addressing media after inauguration of three-day public welfare fair here, district in-charge Ms Joshi said there was times when world praised perfume of the district but due to ignorance of previous governments this industry faced hard days.
She said to rejuvenate these industries state government has selected them under one district one product scheme. The developments of the industries in the district not only generate jobs but also help to set up small industries.
UP Tourism minister said government was concerned to promote tourism in the district. She said ‘Jaunpur Mahotsav’ in Shahi fort was started here to promote tourism and local business.
Highlighting the achievements of the state government Ms Joshi said law and order was maintained in state after formation of Yogi government. She said Yogi government was committed for development of state focusing poor, farmers and youth and in same way education and health sectors were reformed to provide better services.
Speaking about stalled construction work of medical college, Ms Joshi said that it will be started very soon as the money was released for the same. She said that Yogi government has provided pothole-free roads to empower the transportation and strengthen the economy.
