Pakistan to launch first ever National Security Policy on Friday

New Delhi, Jan 11 (UNI) Pakistan is set to launch its first ever National Security Policy on Friday, sources in the security establishment said.
Pakistan's National Security Advisor Moeed Yusuf announced a fortnight ago about approval of the National Security Policy by the federal cabinet and added that a public version of the NSP document will be launched by the PM and released in due course.
"After the NSC's endorsement of Pakistan's first-ever National Security Policy yesterday, the Cabinet has approved it today. It is a truly historic achievement; a citizen-centric comprehensive National Security Policy with economic security at the core will now be pursued in earnest," Yusuf wrote on Twitter adding that "This umbrella document will, overtime, help guide sectoral policies for the fulfilment of our national security objectives."
