One arrested for attacking, killing buffaloes in Thane cattle shed

Thane, May 21 (UNI) With the arrest of one person, the Thane police on Saturday claimed to have solved the case of alleged attack on buffaloes at a cattle shed (tabela) in Bhiwandi town of the district recently.
On May 15, between 0130 and 0530 hours, unidentified person/s had attacked the buffaloes at the shed, killing seven of them and severely injured 13 others, police said.
Considering the seriousness of the crime, an offence under section 429 of Indian Penal Code and Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act had then been registered with the Nizampura police station of the town.
