Notification issued for Outer Manipur polls

Imphal, Mar 18 (UNI) The notification for the Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency was issued by the RO today.
The last date for making nominations will be March 25 while the date of poll is April 11. The notification for Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency will be issued tomorrow and the date of poll is April 18. There are 4,93,597 male voters, 5,12,606 female voters, 11 third gender and 11,097 service voters in Outer Manipur PC.
Manipur has just two seats both of which are occupied by Congress. Keen contests were expected between Congress and BJP and both parties have not yet announced the names of candidates. The Outer Manipur PC has 28 Assembly constituencies while the Inner Manipur has 32 constituencies.
