NFR to reward Tripura youth for preventing train  accident

Agartala, Jun 19 (UNI) Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) would reward Swapan Debbarma of remote Dhanchara village in Dhalai District for averting a major train accident in Atharamura hill.
Due to heavy rains, soil under the track in a stretch near Mungiakami area was washed away on June 15 last, causing the tracks to dislocate. The fault couldn't be detected by the railway staff due to incessant rains, the Chief Public Relation Officer (CPRO) of NFR Pranav Jyoti Sharma said.
At that time, a passenger train from Agartala was moving towards Dharmanagar in the late afternoon on the same track.
