Manipur defeats France, England registers second convincing win

Imphal, Nov 23 (UNI) On the second day of the 13th Manipur Polo International 2019, India B represented by Manipur had one of the toughest matches since the inception of this tournament. The host team barely scrapped through 4-3 against France in its first match, a rare sight in the history of this tournament.
The match got off to a sluggish start with both the teams not managing to get any momentum going. Major part of the 1st chukker saw scrappy play from both the teams. The first goal of the match came as late as the 6.43th minute when P Ojit scored for the host team.
In the 2nd chukker, Clement Glosset of France scored two goals through a spot kick and a 30 yards penalty. P Ojit scored yet again for Manipur to stay level 2-2. In the next chukker France drew a blank while for Manipur, T Pradeep scored with a beautiful hit from around 40 yards to inch ahead 3-2.
