Manipur College teachers seek intervention of CM to resolve impasse

Imphal, Mar 3 (UNI) Manipur government college teachers under the aegis of Federation of Government College Teachers’ Associations (FEGOCTA), now in stir want the immediate intervention of the Chief Minister, N Biren Singh to resolve the agitation.
The teaching community is aggrieved that a long-standing demand already fulfilled in 2018 in other states and other employees of the state have not yet been translated into action. The stir began with token protests but later blossomed into full-blown agitation of a complete cease work strike on Feb 17 last. Rallies were also organised to highlight their grievances.
