Mamata says Bengal in meeting economic challenges better than other states

Kolkata, Jul 4 (UNI) Chief Minister Mamata Banejree today claimed that West Bengal is doing better than many other states across India, even that of UP and Haryana, despite facing dual challenges like dreaded Covid -19 and devastating super cyclone Amphan that ravaged many districts in the third week of May.
"We've implemented a robust economic strategy to tackle COVID-19 and the devastation caused by Amphan," Ms Banerjee said in her latest post on twitter handle.
Incidentally West Bengal has been doing well minimising the unemployment rate considerably than some other richer and industrial states across the country as per Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy ( CMIE) data.

Patna, Apr 26 (UNI) Scorching heat appears to have affected polling percentage during the second phase of Lok Sabha elections in five seats in Bihar, as only 58.58 percent electorate exercised their franchise compared to 62.92 percent in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, which is 4.34 percent less this year.
