Aurangabad, Jul 10 (UNI) The Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 299 new cases of COVID-19 and 8 fatalities during the past 24 hours, health authorities informed on Saturday.
Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI showed that out of the eight districts of the region, Beed topped the list recording 152 new cases and 4 deaths, followed by Aurangabad which had 47 cases and 3 deaths, Latur had 12 cases and single death, Osmanabad had 52 cases ,Nanded had 15 new cases, Parbhani and Jalna had 9 each cases and Hingoli nil.
Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 8,992 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across Maharashtra, taking the cumulative total number of infections in the state to 61,40,968.
