Lawyer shot dead in Allahabad

Allahabad, June 25 (UNI) A lawyer was allegedly shot dead by one of his client’s opponent in Nawabganj area here when he was going to lower court on Monday.
Police sources here Advocate Lal Bachan Soni (65) resident of Kaudihar area, was going to the lower court with his son Advocate Pankaj Kumar when four motorbike-borne criminals shot at him. He was rushed to the SRN hospital where he was declared brought dead.
In a complaint filed by Pankaj, son of the deceased, it was alleged that another lawyer Lal Bachan was councilor of a case Rajkali versus Shiv Pratap Singh behind the crime. During trails opponent Sadashiv alias Chhote Bachha had threatened him to leave the case or face the consequences.
