JPCC organises state wide demonstrations against demonetisation

Ranchi, Nov 9 (UNI) The Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee today organised agitation programmes at all the district headquarters of the state to protest against the second anniversary of demonetisation.

JPCC spokesperson Lal Kishore Nath Shahdeo said that after two years of demonetisation the Prime Minister is yet to tell the people as to who have been really benefitted by demonetisation. He said that contrary to the claims made by the Prime Minister, in reality the people had to undergo lots of pain and stress as the day also meant that the nation was pushed towards economic crisis.

He said that none of the benefits which have been pointed by the Prime Minister have reached the people. Mr Shahdeo said that when 99.37 per cent of the currency which was in the market reached the banks than where did the black money vanish. Moreover, due to demonetisation the small industries were shut and lakhs became unemployeed for which the Prime Minister should take moral responsibility, he added.

The spokesperson said that after two years it can be said that the demonetisation was mainly meant at making the black money turn white. He said that the party's agitation programme today in the entire state was very successful as a large number of people had supported the cause.
