Hyderabad, April 26 (UNI) Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Senior Vice President G Niranjan criticised the Election Commission for what he perceives as selective enforcement, pointing out that while BJP President Nadda received a notice, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not, despite allegedly inciting religious hatred in his campaign speeches, violated the Model Code of Conduct.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Friday, Niranjan expressed concern over the apparent reluctance of the Election Commission to hold Modi accountable, stating that such bias damages the reputation and credibility of the ECI.
He highlighted instances where Modi's speeches allegedly targeted specific religious communities, citing recent incidents in Assam and Uttar Pradesh.
