First Hajj flight takes off from  Srinagar

Srinagar, Jul 14 (UNI) The first Hajj special flight carrying 340 pilgrims, including women, took off from Srinagar International Airport on Saturday in the presence of Governor N N Vohra, his advisor Khursheed Ahmad Ganai besides a large number of civil and police officials.
A senior State Hajj Committee (SHC) official said that this year, a total of 10,183 pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir are undertaking the pilgrimage this year.
He said the first Hajj flight with 340 pilgrims left Srinagar for holy city of Madhena Sharief via New Delhi. Three more flights will operate today from here.
