Fake govt job racket busted by Delhi Police, two held

New Delhi, July 11 (UNI) The special cell of Delhi Police busted an interstate racket that was involved in making fake passes of Central government ministries and also duping innocent youth, on the pretext of government jobs in departments such as Railways ,kendriya vidyalaya sangathan and others.
According to DCP Special Cell Pramod Singh Kushwah, the gang operated from Delhi and claimed to provide assured government jobs of C & D groups to the unemployed youth of Delhi, UP and Rajasthan, charging them anything between Rs 5-7 lakh.
With the matter being sensitive, involving safety and security of various ministries, a team of Special Cell was constituted, which developed the information further.
Police further developed information and came to know that one Uttam Kumar, resident of Tilak Nagar, Delhi is the mastermind of this gang and he claims himself to be an officer of Central Government and also has a fake Identity card of ministries.
On June 30, Kumar, along with one of his associates Sachit Kumar, resident of Shakarpu here, were arrested from Laxmi Nagar, Delhi along with two fake Central government IDs in the name of Kumar.
Other than the IDs, seven joining letters of northern railways were also recovered from their possession.
Later during sustained interrogation, the accused revealed that the joining letters were fake and thereby, admitted that they used to cheat the youth on the pretext of providing government jobs.
From Uttam's car, seven service joining letters of Northern Railway of candidates were recovered.
Accordingly, the accused - Uttam and Sachit were arrested in case FIR No. 82/18 u/s 420/466/467/468/471/120B IPC, registered with Special Cell, Delhi.
Uttam Kumar, (41), who is a resident of Tilak Nagar in Delhi, is the master mind of this gang and has studied up to 8th class from Delhi.
He has earlier worked as a contractual employee with several government offices like Aakadhvani, Dak Bhawan and others that made him familiar with the government offices and their working.
Police have recovered 12 fake passes, identity cards shown as issued by Central Government and 17 fake joining letters of different Central Govt Departments.
A total of eight rubber stamps of various ministries and departments were also recovered from them, police said, adding that further investigation was underway to study linkages of these people and their other associates.
