DP Retail plans to have 50 lakh square foot space across country in next 5 years

New Delhi, Jul 29 (UNI) Darwin Platform Group of Companies (DPGC) has committed Rs 1000 crore
for retail foray and the Group plans on having a Pan-India presence of 50 lakh square foot space
of DP Retail in next five years.
The Group plans to add at least 50 lakh sq ft of retail space within the next five years, the company said.
DP Retail, a subsidiary of Darwin Platform Group of Companies (DPGC),
has opened up of its first retail outlet at DN Nagar, Andheri West in Mumbai with 2500 sq ft area.
The 2500 square feet DP retails store in Andheri has the optimal mix of local, regional, national,
and private label quality brands at competitive and
concessional rates with loyalty and promotional schemes, the company said in a statement.
This will soon be followed with retail outlets at Bhandup, Goregaon, Jogeswari, Sion and Worli
in Mumbai and gradually move to other states like Ahmedabad, Goa, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar etc.
Dr Raja Roy Choudhury, Group CEO, DPGC, said, " With DP Retail, we would be leveraging our
countrywide network to cater to the rising consumers' demand. DP retail financial plans include
the investment of Rs 1000 crore in the FY 21 to expand in Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.''
