Deliberations on taking agri-sector forward in NE

Guwahati, Aug 2 (UNI) A day-long North East Regional Conference on Transformation of Indian Agriculture, organised by Government of Arunachal Pradesh in association with TERI and FICCI, was held here today.
The Conference was attended by Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, and a host of agricultural scientists, technocrats, government representatives, representatives from the industries and administrators from across the region.
The focus of the conference was to gather valuable inputs and suggestions for preparing a roadmap for Transformation of Indian Agriculture in the next few years.

Patna, May 7 (UNI) Despite all efforts of the Election Commission and other stalwarts to attract the voters to the booths to exercise their franchise, polling in the third phase of the elections in five seats namely Jhanjharpur, Supaul , Araria, Madhepura and Khagaria in Bihar had marginal increase of 1.42 percent compared to the second phase of the polling but was still 1.22 percent less than the last Lok Sabha elections held in 2019 in the same five constituencies.

Kolkata, May 7 (UNI) Reacting to the Supreme Court order for interim stay on Calcutta High Court's decision, which declared the entire panel of 2016 SSC teachers' recruitment null and void, the BJP on Tuesday said, " Our stand remains the same for justice to the qualified candidates" in the alleged recruitment scam.

Itanagar, May 7 (UNI) Itanagar Capital Complex Deputy Commissioner cum Nodal Officer (NH-415) Shweta Nagarkoti Mehta has expressed her disappointment over the slow progress of the work on the Pappu Nallah-Nirjuli stretch of NH-415 under Package-B. She urged the contracting agency to speed up the work and complete it within the stipulated time, official sources said on Tuesday.
