Conscript kills 2 in N Iran

Tehran, Feb 10 (UNI) A conscript shot dead a law enforcement officer and a citizen in the northern Iranian province of Alborz early Saturday, the official news agency IRNA reported.
The shooter, serving in the relief unit of the Savojbolagh County police, was on a patrol mission with the law enforcement officer from the same unit before gunning him down in a sudden and frantic move, the report quoted a statement by Alborz provincial police as saying.
It added that the conscript then fatally shot a citizen nearby and stole his car, but later died when fleeing toward the western provinces as the car rolled over due to the police shooting.
