Congress shifts its MLAs to Hyderabad to avoid poaching by BJP

Patna, Feb 4 (UNI) Amid reports of BJP attempting to woo them, Congress on Sunday shifted its MLAs to Hyderabad, before the newly formed NDA government headed by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar seeks the trust vote in the Assembly on February 12.
Congress has 19 MLAs in Bihar Assembly and 16 of them went to New Delhi on Saturday on the directive of the party high command. Three other MLAs did not join them, citing their reasons.
After discussion among senior leaders, a decision was taken to shift the16 MLAs to Hyderabad from New Delhi. The party's move was aimed at avoiding any possibility of poaching of its MLAs by BJP before the February 12 confidence motion to be moved by Kumar, heading the NDA government comprising JD(U), BJP and HAM.
