Congress releases list of five candidates for Meghalaya polls

New Delhi, Jan 28 (UNI) The Congress on Saturday released the list of five candidates for the forthcoming Assembly elections in Meghalaya.
According to a communique issued by Congress general secretary Mukul Wasnik, party's Central Election Commission (CEC) has selected the candidates.
Among the candidates include CR Sangma, TK Marak and J Siangshai.
Earlier this week, the party announced names of 55 candidates including Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee president and MP, Vincent H Pala.
Elections to 60 Assembly seats in Meghalaya will be held in a single phase on February 27.
Counting of votes will take place on March 2.
