Colors Tamil to launch talent show 'Vellum Thiramai'

New Delhi, June 3 (UNI) Bringing to spotlight a pool of talent from different parts of the country, Colors Tamil is all set to launch a brand new talent show, ‘Vellum Thiramai’, starting this Saturday.

‘Vellum Thiramai’, is the Tamil adaptation of Viacom18’s popular homegrown talent show, ‘Hunarbaaz: Desh Ki Shaan’. It features charming Nikki Galrani, Karate Expert Shihan Hussaini and renowned choreographer Sridhar as judges.

It marks a one-of-a-kind talent show that puts forth the best of the acts from across India while also providing a platform in a special segment for regional and local talents who will present stunning renditions from dancing to magic, martial arts and other talents which viewers never seen. The hour-long show will span over 16 episodes, with VJ Andrews hosting it.”



Commenting on the launch, Rajaraman S, Business Head, Colors Tamil, said "It has always been our objective at Colors Tamil to offer our viewers with creative and indigenous content in both fiction and nonfiction programming. India is a country brimming with talent, which can be found in every corner. This show gives the country's undiscovered and exceptional talents a chance to shine in front of millions. This is only the beginning, and we are looking forward to seeing what these young minds have in store for us."



Nikki said, “I have always thought highly of talent shows and I take pride in debuting on television with Vellum Thiramai. I will get to meet phenomenal talents. I am very happy that youngsters across India will get a platform to showcase themselves and become a role model for millions.”



Shihan said, “This is my first association with Colors Tamil and I am glad that the channel is bringing a show that is all set to celebrate people’s skills and talents. This is the first time that I will be judging a show so unique. I am indeed thrilled to see what the contestants have in store for us.”



Sridhar said, “I would like to compliment the Colors Tamil on identifying such amazing talents and bringing them to limelight. I deem that this show will leave the audiences awestruck and make the nation proud with their art. Also, I am happy to be back on in the channel after successful completion of Dance vs Dance 2”
