Cold day in Delhi, air 'very poor'

New Delhi, Feb 11(UNI) The national capital witnessed cold weather on Monday, with the maximum temperature settling at 22.3 degree Celsius, a notch below season's average.
Relative humidity was 57 per cent at 1730 hrs, said the weatherman.
However, air quality was very poor in the city, with the index value of 320 at 2000 hrs, according to the Central Pollution Control Board.
The day was hazy and mercury will drop towards night.
For Tuesday, the weatherman has forecast shallow fog in the morning, while the minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to hover around 9 and 23 degrees, respectively.
The minimum temperature this morning settled at 7 degrees, three points below season's average.
