Imphal, Dec 2 (UNI) Manipur Chief Minister N Biren today said Manipur government has sought intervention from the Centre to resolve border dispute with Nagaland. Addressing the media at the CM Secretariat he further said Manipur government is currently in touch with the Government of Nagaland to bring an amicable and peaceful solution.
To resolve border dispute at Tungjoy in Senapati, Chief Minister said that as resolved by the State Cabinet, the committee which was formed to resolve boundary issues with Nagaland at Dzuko and Tungjoy, visited the disputed area at Tungjoy to gather first-hand account of the matter yesterday.
A ministerial team of Manipur had inspected the disputed area in Manipur yesterday. Losii Dikho, Minister, PHED, Revenue Minister, Karam Shyam and Tribal Affairs & Hills and Fisheries Minister N Kayisii accompanied by senior civil and police officials inspected the area at Mai Hills, Tungjoy Village at Senapati District adjoining the border with Nagaland state.
