Airbnb decides to quit China as lockdowns restricts tourism

Beijing, May 24 (UNI) Airbnb has announced that it is shutting down its domestic rentals in China, where a "zero-Covid" policy has meant continued lockdowns thus adversely affecting it business, BBC reported on Tuesday.
All listings for homes and experiences in the country will be removed from the company's website by summer.
Stays within China made up only 1 per cent of Airbnb's revenue over the last few years and therefore the company has decided to focus on Chinese residents travelling abroad to other destinations.
