6 NLFT militants surrender with arms in Tripura

Agartala, Feb 9 (UNI) As many as six extremists of the banned outfit National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) surrendered to Tripura police with arms on Friday.
Police said the surrendered individuals were identified as Jatindra Tripura (36), Mokhiram Tripura (36), Romawia Reang (50), Johanjoy Reang (36) of North Tripura, Pradip Tripura (27) and Mani Charan Tripura (38) of Dhalai district, who crossed over to Indian territory from their hideout in Bangladesh to join the main stream.
“Two Chinese rifles, one country-made Sten gun, six 70 mm live rounds, two Chinese Grenade, 15 7.62 live rounds, two extortion notices, and some Bangladeshi currencies,” DIGP (Intelligence) Krishnendu Chakravertty.
