Zoya Akhtar kickstarts shooting of new Amazon prime video 'Made in Heaven'

New Delhi, Aug 18 (UNI) After 'Inside Edge', the first in its series of prime videos launched in collaboration with Amazon India, Farhan Akhtar and Riteish Sidhwani's excel entertainment have kickstarted the shooting of their next Amazon prime project titled 'Made in Heaven'. Director Zoya Akhtar along with Ritesh Sidhwani and Vijay Subramaniam (Director, Content, Amazon Prime Video India) and James Farrell (Head of Content, Amazon Video, APAC) gave the mahurat clap of upcoming Amazon Original Series, 'Made in Heaven'. 'Made in heaven' - The first day of shoot in Delhi with @FarrellJamesC, #ZoyaAkhtar and @vjsub. @AmazonVideoIN @excelmovies,' Riteish tweeted. Written by Zoya along with Reema Kagti, 'Made in Heaven' is a story of two wedding planners. In an attempt to counter the ever-rising popularity of Netflix, Amazon India Prime Videos have tied up with Excel Entertainment among other production houses to create original content for the audience. The first in this series titled 'Inside Edge', directed by Karan Anshuman, was recently launched by Farhan and Ritesh of Excel and the entire cast — Vivek Oberoi, Richa Chadha, Tanuj Virwani, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Sanjay Suri, Sarah Jane Dias and Sayoni Gupta, among others. After 'Inside edge', Zoya and Reema have been jointly working on 'Made in Heaven'. Ritesh has said the company tie up with Amazon for the videos is an attempt by them to tap the web series segment because of how the pattern of consuming content was changing worldwide.
